This question just came alive through a phone call earlier today and inspired this article. The question is this, “How soon should we pursue deep healing and therapy once addiction or a recovery from addiction is obtained?”

Have you ever boarded an aircraft and asked yourself the following questions? How do I know that the airline pilot isn’t flying under the influence of alcohol and drugs? What about the cab driver who took me to the airport? What about my dentist who gave me a root canal yesterday? How about the police officer who gave me a speeding ticket last week? Do you get the picture?

Introduction
Most people who give up alcohol suddenly end up experiencing mild to moderate alcohol withdrawal symptoms as a result of the body reacting to the sudden withdrawal of something that it was used to or dependent on. The term alcohol withdrawal syndrome is used for describing the whole group of symptoms that occur as a result of sudden withdrawal from alcohol after a prolonged period of consumption.
